Partner with the best In this role, you will manage day-to-day data center construction activities across multiple project locations. You will oversee budgets, track critical path schedules, and ensure compliance with building standards. Working remotely and on-site, you will collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver successful data center projects. As a Project Manager Data Center Construction, you will be responsible for: + Managing day-to-day construction activities across multiple multi-megawatt data center projects + Working with contractors and engineering teams, develop project schedules and track critical paths from equipment purchase through installation and completion + Managing project budgets, tracking actual spending, and managing service order scope changes + Ensuring project compliance with contractual terms, local building codes, and OSHA regulations + Providing regular progress reports covering timelines, budget updates, and construction status + Collaborating with equipment vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project execution Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: + Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree + Have 4+ years of direct contract administration experience + Be well versed with electrical, mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, BMS / EMS , and security systems + Have 4+ years of experience tracking pre-construction, mobilization, construction documents, permitting, commissioning, and project closeout + Demonstrate solid technical skills, effective communication, and willingness to travel to project sites + Be knowledgeable in construction law, business practices, and Microsoft Project applications + Be willing to travel periodically within the U.S. and hold a valid U.S. driver's license About us At Akamai, we make life better for billions of people, trillions of times a day.
