Chicago, IL A growing Chicago construction and development firm is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day field operations on active construction projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with early-career field experience who wants to gain exposure to the full construction lifecycle and develop into a Superintendent . Responsibilities Support the Superintendent with daily field operations and project scheduling Coordinate subcontractors, workforce activity, equipment deliveries, and site logistics Track daily jobsite activity and maintain documentation in Procore Assist with project meetings, daily reports, and progress documentation Conduct jobsite safety orientations and inspections Monitor subcontractor safety compliance and communicate potential concerns Assist with quality control inspections and verify work meets project requirements Coordinate temporary facilities, deliveries, site access, and general jobsite logistics Support erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental compliance Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional jobsite What We're Looking For 1-3 years of construction industry experience 1+ year of construction field experience Strong interest in developing a career in field leadership / construction supervision Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibility Degree or certificate in Construction Management or Design Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent looking for hands-on project experience, mentorship, and long-term advancement into a Superintendent position.
