Chicago Illinois About the Opportunity Join an established and repubtale fully integrated real estate developer / builder with more than 50 years of experience delivering award-winning communities across North America. This organization manages development, design, construction, and property operations in-house, giving field leaders the resources and decision-making authority needed to execute complex projects successfully. Their portfolio includes high-rise residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, and large-scale master-planned developments. This position will lead field operations on a highrise multifamily development consisting of multiple residential towers, structured parking, extensive amenity spaces, and complex site logistics within a dense urban environment. The project represents one of the largest residential developments currently underway in Chicago. Responsibilities Direct all day-to-day field operations from site mobilization through project closeout. Lead superintendents, assistant superintendents, subcontractors, and field staff to safely execute the project. Develop and maintain the master construction schedule while driving milestone completion. Coordinate structural concrete, building envelope, MEP systems, interiors, elevators, and site work. Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications. Conduct daily subcontractor coordination meetings and proactively resolve field issues. Partner closely with Project Management, Engineering, Design, and Ownership teams to maintain schedule and budget objectives. Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities. Promote a culture centered around safety, accountability, and teamwork. Identify project risks early and implement solutions to minimize delays. Maintain detailed daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and production tracking. Build strong relationships with owners, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners. Qualifications 10+ years of construction superintendent experience. Experience leading ground-up multifamily construction projects. Previous experience on high-rise concrete structures preferred. Proven ability to manage projects exceeding $75M in construction value. Strong knowledge of structural concrete sequencing, MEP coordination, and interior buildout. Experience managing large subcontractor teams on fast-paced urban jobsites. Ability to coordinate multiple phases of construction while maintaining schedule. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and quality management practices. Experience using Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar construction software. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience Highrise residential or mixed-use construction. Podium construction. Urban infill projects with complex logistics. Multi-tower or phased developments. Self-perform concrete coordination is a plus. Why Join?
