Procon is seeking a Construction Manager for a long-term opportunity based in Urbana, IL, supporting renovation projects throughout Central Illinois. This role focuses on MEP (HVAC & Controls) and lighting replacement projects within occupied facilities. Candidates should have 8+ years of construction management experience managing renovations, mechanical upgrades, and fit-outs for complex organizations. This position requires travel throughout Central Illinois for extended periods, with GSA per diem provided. Requirements Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or a related field. 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, Owner's Representative, or General Contractor. Experience managing renovation, HVAC/mechanical upgrades, lighting replacement, and fit-out projects in occupied facilities. Background working with government agencies, healthcare systems, universities, or other complex organizations. Experience managing projects valued at $10 million or greater preferred. Strong communication, organization, project management, and client coordination skills. Experience with project scheduling, estimating, cost management, quality assurance, and construction administration. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Kahua, or similar construction management software. Willingness to travel extensively throughout Central Illinois, with possible overnight assignments. Ability to provide a project list including project name, location, contract value, square footage, project scope, and individual role/responsibilities. Responsibilities & Duties Lead construction management and owner's representative services for renovation and MEP projects in occupied facilities. Manage project schedules, budgets, logistics, and communication with clients, contractors, and design teams. Monitor construction activities for quality, code compliance, and contract requirements. Review construction documents, submittals, schedules, RFIs, and change orders. Conduct site visits, prepare field reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Coordinate projects through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Work primarily daytime hours with occasional second-shift support as project needs require.
