This is a hands-on leadership position . The Manager is responsible for managing the job site, directing employees and subcontractors, planning materials, maintaining the project schedule, communicating with management and homeowners, and ensuring quality workmanship. While leading the project, this person is also expected to work alongside the crew and perform construction tasks when needed . The right candidate is someone who can look at a job, understand what needs to happen, organize the people and materials needed, and then get to work alongside the team to make it happen. Primary Responsibilities Lead the Job Take ownership of assigned projects from start to finish. Arrive on time and be prepared for the day's work. Review the project scope and understand what needs to be completed. Plan daily and weekly tasks for yourself, employees, and subcontractors. Keep the project moving forward and address problems as they arise. Communicate project updates, concerns, delays, and additional needs to management. Coordinate outside labor and subcontractors and make sure they understand what they are responsible for. Check work throughout the project to ensure it meets company standards. Work on the Job Site Perform construction, remodeling, demolition, installation, finishing, and other hands-on work as needed. Work alongside employees and subcontractors when additional help is needed. Step in and help keep the project moving when a crew member is absent or a task needs additional manpower. Lead by example through quality workmanship, a strong work ethic, and professionalism. Materials & Project Preparation Review each project and create a list of materials needed. Identify upcoming material needs before they become urgent. Communicate material needs to management in a timely manner. Make sure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed. Help prevent unnecessary material waste and delays. Crew & Subcontractor Management Give clear direction to employees, subcontractors, and outside labor. Make sure everyone knows what they should be working on. Keep workers productive and on task. Monitor subcontractor work and ensure it is completed correctly and on schedule. Address issues with workmanship, productivity, or job-site expectations. Maintain a professional and respectful work environment. Job Site Management Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe throughout the project. Maintain clean work areas rather than waiting until the end of the project to clean up. Protect the homeowner's floors, walls, furniture, landscaping, driveway, and belongings. Properly store tools and materials. Remove construction debris and maintain a professional-looking job site. Secure the job site at the end of each workday. Homeowner Experience Treat every homeowner and their property with respect. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while on the job. Communicate respectfully with homeowners when questions or concerns arise. Be mindful that we are working in someone's home and that cleanliness and professionalism matter.
