$100,000 - $125,000 + Truck Allowance + Per Diem + Bonuses + Benefits About the Opportunity A well-established General Contractor based in Louisville, KY is looking to add an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction , particularly within restaurant, retail, gas station, convenience store, and similar fast-paced construction environments . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from mobilization through completion, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects. Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel. Coordinate daily site activities and maintain project schedules. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with plans and specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high-quality construction standards. Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Manage site logistics, scheduling, manpower, materials, and deliveries. Identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively. Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, documentation, and project records. Enforce OSHA and company safety standards across the jobsite. Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates. Travel to project locations as required and remain on-site through project completion. Ideal Background 5+ years of construction superintendent experience , preferably with a General Contractor. Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects . Experience with one or more of the following sectors: Restaurants / QSR Retail Gas Stations / Convenience Stores Commercial Other fast-paced ground-up construction Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and subcontractor management. Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings. Strong communication and leadership skills. Comfortable traveling extensively for project assignments. OSHA 30 and relevant construction certifications preferred. Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus.
