A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Construction Project Manager to support and manage industrial construction projects in the United States. The ideal candidate will have strong field construction experience, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams, and the ability to communicate effectively with both English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. This is a site-based role requiring hands-on coordination of construction activities, schedules, safety, quality, project documentation, and communication between field teams, contractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction activities and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project requirements. Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and internal project teams. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and field installation requirements. Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance. Identify field issues and coordinate timely solutions with engineering and construction teams. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, daily reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Conduct regular site walks to monitor construction quality, safety, progress, and compliance. Lead or participate in project coordination and progress meetings. Provide clear project updates to management and clients. Coordinate communication between Mandarin-speaking construction teams and U.S.-based clients, contractors, and project partners. Support project cost control, procurement, scheduling, material tracking, and project closeout. Ensure subcontractors and field personnel follow company and site safety requirements. Assist with resolving schedule conflicts, construction issues, and coordination challenges in the field. Qualifications 5+ years of construction project management, project engineering, or field construction experience preferred. Experience in industrial construction, manufacturing facilities, MEP, electrical, mechanical, or large commercial construction strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong understanding of field construction processes, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety management. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction documentation. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6 is a plus. OSHA 30 or other construction safety certifications preferred. Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Must be comfortable working full-time on an active construction site. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment. The Project Manager will work closely with field supervisors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives. The position requires frequent site walks, field coordination, construction meetings, problem-solving, and direct involvement in project execution.
