full-time A leading civil construction organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day?to?day performance, financial reporting, and operational consistency across multiple construction groups. This role partners closely with executive leadership to drive project profitability, strengthen processes, and support project teams in delivering high?quality work safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Champion and enforce safety best practices across all construction operations Ensure timely follow?up and documentation of incidents and corrective actions Validate financial information submitted by Project Managers and ensure accuracy in monthly reporting Identify risks and opportunities across active projects, including: Unapproved or unpaid change orders Under?billings or billing gaps Resource?sharing opportunities Emerging project trends Lead bi?weekly financial review meetings with project teams Support implementation and adoption of construction management software (InEight experience a plus) Maintain and update monthly backlog and projections for all active work Lead monthly cost?to?complete meetings and ensure alignment with corporate financial goals Participate in employee performance reviews and ensure feedback aligns with compensation decisions Manage headcount planning based on backlog, workload, and organizational goals Provide guidance to PMs and Superintendents on personnel matters as needed What You Bring 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (sitework, utilities, roadway, or highway) Strong financial acumen with hands?
on experience in:
WIP reporting Forecasting Cost?to?complete Backlog management Proven ability to lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leaders Experience running structured financial or operational review meetings Ability to identify operational risks, drive accountability, and implement process improvements Strong communication skills and the confidence to partner with executive leadership Experience with InEight, HCSS, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar systems preferred
