Job Description Company Overview Insight Global's client is a leading entertainment and theater organization with locations across North America. Their design and construction team is responsible for managing theater renovations, specialty auditorium upgrades, and new construction initiatives. As project volume continues to increase, they are seeking a Design Manager to provide additional support across their growing portfolio of projects. Position Overview Insight Global's client is seeking a Design Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of theater renovation and specialty auditorium projects. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external architectural partners, ensuring design standards, project schedules, permitting requirements, and partner specifications are met throughout the project lifecycle. This role combines architectural project management, consultant coordination, permitting oversight, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously and working with a variety of external partners. Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple remodeling and specialty auditorium projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate with external architectural firms throughout project execution
  • Review architectural plans and construction documents for compliance with project requirements
  • Coordinate with specialty partners and consultants to ensure design standards are met
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Support permitting efforts and track permit approvals
  • Review shop drawings and construction documentation
  • Assist with RFP development and project initiation activities
  • Communicate project status updates to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure consultant teams address all required feedback and revisions

  • 5 + years of PM experience ideally within architecture, interior architecture, construction management, project management, or a related field Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Experience managing architects, consultants, contractors, or project teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Architectural project management experience
  • Experience working on commercial renovation or remodel projects
  • Leadership experience coordinating external consulting teams
  • Permitting and entitlement experience
  • Experience working with specialty construction projects or partner-driven design initiatives Architecture, interior architecture, engineering, or related degree
