Job Description T&R Construction is a locally owned and operated civil construction company, specializing in site preparations, earthwork, concrete, and underground utilities. We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join the team. This position will be responsible for seeking and following up on potential bidding opportunities by completing the bidding process of each project. They will also be responsible for managing the project, making sure the project stays on track, and ensuring that all requirements are met to successfully complete the project. The right candidate will be punctual, reliable, have excellent organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, a strong work ethic, professionalism, and great attention to detail. Duties/Responsibilities:
Willingly seek out potential projects to bid on Complete the estimating process for the bid Manage the projects to completion Make sure that materials needed for the project are ordered and delivered to the project prior to crews needing the material to complete their work Work directly with Superintendents, Subcontractors, and the owner to make sure that all needs are met, and the project stays on schedule and budget. Ability to resolve problems as they arise Build weekly project schedules to make sure all project's needs are met and on schedule Work with other company staff to make sure the project is successful Complete all necessary documentation on time and in a proactive manner. Manage all T&M work for the project and prepare the necessary paperwork for change orders and for the billing department. Participate in weekly staff meetings to make sure all department's needs are met and company projects are on schedule and moving forward successfully. Must be able to visit jobsites on a weekly basis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of Civil Construction estimating Ability to manager construction projects Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management or equivalent degree is preferred A minimum of three years' experience estimating and managing construction projects
