Job Description

Water/Wastewater Superintendent - Nashville, TN Local Opportunity | Hands-On Leadership Role A well-established civil and mechanical contractor in the Nashville area is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Superintendent to oversee the construction of critical municipal infrastructure projects. We're looking for a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground leader who knows what it takes to deliver high-quality results in complex water and wastewater treatment plant (WTP/WWTP) environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee field operations and crews for water and wastewater construction projects.
  • Manage daily site activities involving process piping, tankage, and mechanical installations .
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain quality, schedule, and safety standards.
  • Monitor progress, manpower, materials, and equipment usage to ensure efficient execution.
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead by example to foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in
WTP/WWTP
construction, including process piping and mechanical systems.
  • Proven track record managing self-perform and subcontracted work on treatment plant projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor field personnel.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety requirements.
  • Ability to solve problems in the field and adapt to changing site conditions.
