The Role The Assistant Regional Director (ARD) is the operational engine of the region. Working closely with the Regional Director, you will handle the day-to-day complexities of talent acquisition, scheduling, and compliance. This is a "player-coach" role requiring a leader who can manage a busy office environment while remaining ready to step into the field to mentor staff or provide direct care when necessary.
Lead the full talent lifecycle for the region, including recruiting, screening, interviewing, and selecting high-quality CareGivers.
Onboarding & Training:
Facilitate comprehensive orientation, new hire shadowing, and annual training to ensure all staff meet Lifeline's high standards.
Performance Support:
Assist the Regional Director with performance reviews and corrective actions, fostering a culture of accountability and respect.
Engagement:
Maintain frequent, meaningful communication with CareGivers to ensure they feel supported and connected to the Lifeline mission.
Operations & Scheduling Scheduling Mastery:
Manage complex CareGiver schedules, including change requests and absenteeism, ensuring all client service requirements are met in a cost-efficient manner.
Payroll & Documentation:
Review and approve payroll data for CareGivers and maintain meticulous personnel and client files in accordance with Kentucky state regulations.
Intake Support:
Review new work order referrals and coordinate with the Regional Director to ensure a seamless start of service for new clients.
Continuity of Leadership:
Act as the Regional Director in his/her absence, ensuring regional stability and operational flow.
Field Support & Care Continuity Quality Assurance:
Conduct field supervisory visits to ensure care plans are followed and CareGivers are performing at peak levels.
Emergency Care Coverage:
A core requirement of this role is the commitment to our clients; in the event a CareGiver is unable to perform services, the Assistant Regional Director will personally provide home care services to ensure no client is left without essential care.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions Travel:
This position requires frequent travel across the assigned Kentucky region. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Environment:
Work is performed in a professional office setting and within client homes, which may include exposure to pets or tobacco smoke.
Physical Assistance:
Must be able to perform physical caregiving tasks when necessary, including: lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds ;assisting with client transfers and mobility; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching to handle materials or provide care; s ensory: ability to effectively communicate using auditory and visual methods; must have close vision (20 inches or less) for assessment and documentation.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years of experience in caregiving and office administration; experience in non-medical in-home care is highly preferred.
Skills:
Proven expertise in Labor Management, Scheduling, and Talent Planning.
Technical:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and familiarity with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) software.
