A Construction Site Manager runs day-to-day operations on a construction site and controls the short-term schedule on the site. Also performs important quality control and coordinates subcontractors. Often works in cooperation with construction project manager.
Quantity Tracking / Field Progress Specialist Support an ongoing site-based construction assignment in Saint Francisville, LA, with future projects requiring on-site presence across the U.S. You'll work closely with the TIC Cost Control Specialist Engineer, Cost Control Specialist, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and field supervision to accurately track and report construction quantities and physical progress throughout the project lifecycle — supporting cost forecasting, contractor pay applications, and overall project performance.
Responsibilities:
Track and maintain installed quantities and physical construction progress across assigned work scopesCollect daily and weekly quantity information from contractors, subcontractors, and field teamsVerify reported quantities against actual field conditions and construction documentationCompare planned vs. actual progress and identify variancesMaintain quantity tracking logs, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting toolsMonitor progress by discipline, area, work package, contractor, and/or activityReview contractor progress reports and supporting documentation for accuracyPerform field walks to validate reported quantities and percentage completeCoordinate with field engineers, superintendents, foremen, and contractors to obtain accurate progress dataIdentify and communicate discrepancies between reported and actual work completedSupport weekly and monthly physical progress reportingProvide verified quantity/progress data to support cost forecasting and pay application reviewAssist in validating contractor billings against verified field informationMaintain documentation supporting reported quantities and progress measurementsTrack changes in scope that affect quantities or progressSupport reconciliation of contractor-reported quantities, field measurements, and project recordsCommunicate delays, productivity concerns, and discrepancies to the project teamParticipate in project progress meetings and provide field status updates
Required:
High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or related field preferred3-7 years of experience in construction, field engineering, quantity tracking, progress measurement, or project controlsHands-on experience tracking construction quantities and physical progressAbility to read construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contractor documentationExperience working directly with contractors, subcontractors, and field supervisionStrong understanding of construction activities and progress measurement/reportingStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a field/site-based construction environmentWillingness and ability to travel to future project assignments across the U.S.
Preferred:
