Job Description

Wastewater Project Manager
  • Commercial Construction
  • Base Salary to 140k/year
  • Barnstable, MA Our client is a commercial contractor specializing in construction throughout the New England region, with an established focus on water and wastewater treatment projects.
They are seeking a Wastewater Project Manager in the Barnstable, MA area to oversee assigned construction projects from planning through plant start-up and turnover. Candidates within approximately 100 miles of Barnstable are encouraged to apply, and relocation may be considered.

In this role, the Wastewater Project Manager will oversee day-to-day project execution and overall management, including project controls, scheduling, cost management, procurement, risk management, and construction operations. This individual will coordinate project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Lead project planning, construction scheduling, and day-to-day execution of water and wastewater treatment projects.

Manage project financials, including owner pay applications, cost tracking, cost management, and cost/revenue forecasting.

Oversee field personnel and construction operations throughout the project lifecycle.

Manage project buyout and procurement, including scope review, subcontractor negotiations, subcontract and purchase order execution, submittals, material deliveries, and vendor coordination.

Monitor construction progress and coordinate with the Superintendent to address field and operational issues.

Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and preconstruction teams throughout project delivery.

Lead project meetings and maintain project reporting and documentation related to construction progress, project status, costs, schedules, and risks.

Coordinate with internal BIM, Scheduling, MEP, Estimating, and preconstruction teams.

Support plant start-up, commissioning, and project turnover activities.

Establish project-specific safety objectives and ensure employees and subcontractors adhere to applicable project safety requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience managing water and/or wastewater treatment construction projects.5+ years of experience in construction project management or a related role.

Strong understanding of construction methods, practices, and procedures.

Experience managing project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and owner pay applications.

Experience with project buyout, procurement, subcontractor management, and contract negotiations.

Previous supervisory experience.

Bachelor' s degree in construction management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Procore.

Experience with accounting and construction cost management systems.

Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera or similar platforms.

OSHA 30 certification is required.

Base salary in the 120k
