Jobs › Boston, MA › Construction Coordinator II State of Massachusetts Construction Coordinator II Boston, MA Apply Agency Overview The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), which oversees over $2 billion in capital programs and projects, is responsible for capital planning, project delivery, property management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth. We are stewards of the Commonwealth's assets, which include 61 million square feet of state buildings. As an agency, we care for the people of our state and the future of our planet.
- We work with state agencies to create and manage forward-thinking, sustainable buildings to meet the needs of the Commonwealth's citizens and help achieve a zero-carbon future.

- We support the growth of the Commonwealth's economy and actively engage with private sector partners to make it easier to do business with the Commonwealth.
- We work to expand access, opportunity, and equity to create more inclusive services, planning and outcomes for all the citizens of the Commonwealth.
- Review schematic design, design development, and construction documents for compliance with sound engineering principles. Ensure designer adheres to the program and that facility needs are met. Review and approve plans and specifications to ensure timely completion of detailed, comprehensive construction documents. Establish project budget.
- Meet with all project principles, including designers, general contractors, sub-contractors, resident engineers, vendors, and interdepartmental personnel to establish project milestones, scheduling, payment, and other related issues.
- Attend weekly project meetings. Initiate and maintain daily rapport with Resident Engineers. Review daily reports and conduct site visits as required.
- Recommend acceptance or determine refusal of financial obligation for itemized payment requisitions, change orders, and extra services, and contractual modifications.
- Mediate disputes by ensuring compliance with contract documents. Defer unresolved issues to Project Manager.
- Monitor project schedule and budget for compliance and make modifications as required. Prepare, compile and submit reports and documentation related to project progress.
- Supervise various Resident Engineers per project and provide guidance to and advise project principles.
- Coordinate use and occupancy and furnishings and equipment. Ensure completion of punchlist items. Participate in evaluations which determine final acceptance of projects. Work with the Office of Finance to coordinate the project closing.
- Maintain accurate project records, including as builts, warranties, guarantees, list of suppliers, and all other project documentation.
- Perform related duties as required. Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the public construction process.
- Experience in Planning and Design phases of capital projects.
- Proficiency in current software technology, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and AutoCAD.
- MEP knowledge is a plus.

Substitutions:
1. An Associate's degree or Technical degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
