Experience:

5-10 years in construction management or site leadership Key focus areas: Safety compliance, budget control, team leadership, construction sequencing What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Leading on-site construction crews and coordinating work across multiple trades Managing daily construction sequences, timelines and milestones to keep projects on schedule Maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, site regulations and quality standards Controlling project budgets, tracking costs and identifying opportunities to optimize spend Communicating progress, risks and changes to project stakeholders, clients and senior leadership Managing subcontractor performance, scheduling and compliance Conducting site inspections, identifying issues early and implementing corrective actions Liaising between the field team and the project office on administrative, compliance and reporting matters What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 5-10 years of hands-on construction management or site management experience 5+ years leading and supervising on-site teams SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification or equivalent safety qualification Current First Aid certification Proficiency with AutoCAD for site plans, drawings and coordination Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting and schedule management Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Experience with commercial or industrial project delivery Familiarity with project management software and tools Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets or large crews PMP or similar project management certification What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: Direct involvement in shaping the built environment across the Boston market Contract flexibility and competitive daily rates ($560 - $800 per day, dependent on experience and project scope) Opportunity to work on diverse, challenging construction projects with scope to develop your leadership and technical expertise Potential for contract extension or progression to additional projects based on performance Exposure to different project types, teams and stakeholders, supporting continuous learning and professional growth Structured on-site and office-based work that balances field leadership with project coordination About Specialist Staffing Group We connect construction professionals with opportunities across the United States.
