Full Job Description Pay:
$70,000•$90,000/salary
Hours:
7am•5pm Monday•Friday A well-established and growing residential HVAC company is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company quality standards while maintaining excellent communication with homeowners, builders, subcontractors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination Review project scope, contracts, blueprints, and specifications prior to project start. Develop project schedules, labor plans, and material/equipment requirements. Coordinate with installation teams to ensure all necessary information, tools, and materials are available. Work closely with scheduling and operations teams to manage labor and project timelines. Site Management & Execution Conduct site visits before, during, and after installations to ensure quality and accuracy. Identify and resolve field issues with installers, technicians, and subcontractors. Ensure all work complies with local codes, permits, and manufacturer specifications. Oversee installation personnel and coordinate resources across departments as needed. Support troubleshooting and field problem resolution. Customer & Builder Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, builders, and general contractors throughout projects. Provide consistent updates regarding progress, timelines, and project changes. Maintain strong customer and partner relationships to support satisfaction and repeat business. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Track project budgets, change orders, and cost variances. Approve invoices, manage labor allocation, and ensure accurate job costing. Maintain project documentation within CRM and scheduling systems. Complete project closeouts including warranties, documentation, and final walkthroughs. Quality Control & Safety Ensure all installations meet company standards and manufacturer requirements. Conduct final inspections and verify system startup and performance. Promote and enforce safe jobsite practices. Assist with installer training and development. Provide feedback to management regarding products, services, installation quality, and customer satisfaction. Communicate any jobsite concerns or issues impacting operations or customer relationships. QualificationsEducation High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent experience required.
Certifications / Licenses
Valid driver's license required. EPA Certification preferred or required based on experience. Required Experience & Skills 3+ years of HVAC installation, service, or project management experience, preferably in residential HVAC. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, controls, and installation practices. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Experience with project management software, email, and digital documentation platforms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions. Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. HVAC trade school or technical training. Experience working with builders and general contractors on residential construction projects. Knowledge of local mechanical codes and permitting requirements. Sheet metal or related trade licensing is a plus.
