Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction General Superintendent to lead large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves overseeing all on-site activities, managing construction teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction management software and technical drawings. Responsibilites Oversee and support multiple superintendents across various construction sites Ensure all projects maintain company standards for safety, quality, scheduling, and productivity Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress reviews Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and field leadership teams Assist superintendents with problem-solving, scheduling conflicts, manpower planning, and site logistics Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and contract requirements Monitor project progress and proactively address delays or operational issues Lead field coordination meetings and provide ongoing leadership to site teams Maintain communication between field operations and executive/project management teams Mentor and develop superintendents, foremen, and field staff Qualifications 3-5 years of construction supervision experience Previous experience managing multiple superintendents and projects simultaneously Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods and sequencing Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction schematics accurately. Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and construction regulations Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications OSHA 30 Certification Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software Commercial and/or multifamily construction experience Strong scheduling and operational management background Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off and holidays Join our team as a Construction General Superintendent to lead impactful projects that shape communities!
