full-time A leading mechanical contractor serving the healthcare, life sciences, commercial, institutional, and mission-critical markets is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of complex HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects throughout the Greater Boston area. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while working alongside field leadership, executive management, clients, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in commercial mechanical construction, project financial management, and client relationship development. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of mechanical construction projects from kickoff through project closeout Oversee project budgets, forecasts, schedules, subcontractors, procurement activities, and overall project execution Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and key project stakeholders Lead project meetings and coordinate efforts between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and office personnel Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure successful execution Track project financial performance, including change orders, cost reporting, billing, and forecasting Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, BIM/VDC, fabrication, and field operations teams throughout the project lifecycle Manage project risks, resolve issues proactively, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget Support manpower planning and resource allocation in coordination with field leadership Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout project delivery Mentor junior project staff and contribute to the development of project management best practices Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred 7+ years of project management experience within commercial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical construction, or MEP contracting Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration Proven ability to manage client relationships and coordinate multiple stakeholders Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Proficiency with construction management and project tracking software Preferred Qualifications Experience managing healthcare, life sciences, higher education, commercial, or mission-critical projects Knowledge of BIM/VDC coordination and prefabrication workflows Experience managing projects ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar mechanical scopes
