We specialize in custom homes, additions, and high-quality residential renovations throughout Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. We are looking for someone who understands residential construction, communicates well with homeowners and trades, and takes ownership of projects from construction through completion. This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, coordinating people, and keeping projects moving. Responsibilities Manage multiple residential construction projects from start through completion Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, employees, vendors, inspections, and deliveries Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays Communicate regularly with homeowners regarding schedule, selections, changes, and project progress Work closely with carpenters and subcontractors to ensure they have the information and materials needed to perform efficiently Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and construction details Coordinate homeowner selections and ensure materials are ordered on time Monitor workmanship and ensure projects meet Norman Builders' quality standards Identify problems early and work with the team to develop practical solutions Track change orders, additional work, and project-related costs Manage punch lists and drive projects through final completion Maintain clean, organized and professional job sites Build strong working relationships with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and inspectors What We're Looking For The ideal candidate has significant experience in residential construction and understands how a house is actually built. A background in carpentry, residential remodeling, custom-home construction, or construction supervision is strongly preferred. We're looking for someone who is: Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Highly responsive and a strong communicator Comfortable working directly with homeowners Knowledgeable about residential construction methods and sequencing Able to read construction plans and specifications Proactive rather than waiting for problems to develop Comfortable making decisions and solving problems in the field Detail-oriented with high standards for workmanship Respectful and effective when working with employees and subcontractors Accountable for schedules and follow-through Comfortable using technology for communication, scheduling, documentation, and project management

Experience Preferred:
5+ years of residential construction experience Previous project management, superintendent, lead carpenter, or construction management experience Experience with custom homes, additions, and substantial renovations Strong knowledge of residential framing, exterior construction, mechanical trades, and interior finishes Massachusetts and/or New Hampshire residential construction experience A college degree is not required. Relevant field experience and demonstrated construction knowledge are more important to us.
