Job Description

Superintendent We are a Boston based general contractor that self performs the mechanical, looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our team. Our company roots go back to early 1900s, and our current management has been successful and growing for almost 40 years. We have a very strong team that works well with all personalities. We strongly encourage a healthy work/life balance. Our team works on Federal and State projects and has a large variety of experience. Our projects are located around the Boston area, so reliable transportation is imperative. Responsibilities:
Submit Daily Reports in Procore Submit Pre-task Planning Daily in Procore Keep a project Sign in sheet Hold weekly Safety meetings (Tool Box Talks) Submit Tool Box talks with daily report through Procore (attach to daily day of Tool Box Talk) Maintain and enforce VDC safety standards Conduct Safety Inspections Assist in VDC 3rd Party safety inspections Schedule and Coordinate all Subcontractors Maintain Project schedule and End date set by VDC Project Management Team Maintain and update project schedule Coordinate and maintain field set of Red Line drawings including all Subcontractors Coordinate and run weekly Subcontractor meetings Coordinate and run weekly owners meeting (PM to assist) Coordinate shutdowns with Government representative Maintain ICRA and ISLM requirement set by owner (Government) Assist in monthly billing for project, must be able to relay project status and completed Subcontractor work to PM Walk Monthly REQ with Government Representative Coordinate all large equipment deliveries including Subcontractor deliveries Maintain and assist in project punch list completion Assist in collection of project closeout documents from subcontractors Schedule, coordinate all walk throughs and inspections All other duties performed by a Superintendent for companies which provide similar services as VDC or as otherwise requested by VDC from time to time Our ideal candidate would have Minimum of 3 years in a Superintendent role Degree in Construction Management In possession of, or willing to obtain, OSHA 30 safety certification Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Strong communication skills Ability to lift up to 50lbs Non-negotiables Must hold Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License Must be able to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information check (CORI) Benefits Health Insurance (medical, dental, and vision) Life insurance, long and short-term disability provided by the company Paid Time Off 9 paid company holidays 401K self-directed plan Flexible spending and dependent care accounts available
