Doug Curtiss Landscape is a family owned landscape contracting firm serving central Massachusetts from Worcester to Boston. We have been in business for over 40 years and have seen significant growth over the past decade. Our three primary service divisions are landscape maintenance, snow and ice management, and landscape construction. The primary markets we serve are HOA, commercial, institutional, and high end residential. We target clients seeking high quality workmanship, communication, and professionalism. Job Description We are seeking an experienced construction professional to join our landscape construction department as a Project Manager. Our mission is to continue to grow our construction division by building upon our existing team with motivated individuals who are eager about the industry and operate with high integrity. The project manager would be tasked with managing landscape construction projects ranging from $50,000 - $1,000,000 from pre-construction through project closeout. Our firm focuses not only on the finish product but also the project experience. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who enjoys collaborating with project owners and design professional and has a focus on customer service.Project Management Responsibilities:
Creating short and long term project plans including a project schedule. Tracking and managing project costs and monthly invoicing. Procuring project materials including submittals and purchasing. Allocation of resources including equipment and manpower. Estimating projects and change orders. Building trust-based professional relationships with clients, design professionals and vendors. Communicating with internal field staff to ensure that construction services are delivered according to contract specifications and our high standard of quality. Serving as the main point of contact for the client and design team ensuring that all project related information is relayed in a timely and professional manner.Qualifications:
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, self-starter who thrives in a role where he or she can operate autonomously. Below is a list of specific qualifications for this role. Five years of construction industry or landscape experience. Advanced understanding of estimating. Advanced understanding of project-based accounting. Advanced ability to read and understand plans and specifications. Strong interpersonal skills. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A degree related to landscape, construction management, environmental sciences, or management is a plus. Advanced Computer Skills (Experience with Boss LM is a plus). Strong Communication Skills. Strong Ability to create and manage deliverables. Strong organizational skills.Job Type:
