full-time We are seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to join a growing heavy civil construction operation in the Boston, MA area. The Bridge Superintendent will oversee the field planning and execution of bridge construction activities ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate bridge construction activities with the Project Manager and Project Engineer. Lead and supervise field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials. Manage the overall bridge construction schedule and provide three-week look-ahead schedules. Monitor daily crew productivity, production goals, quantities, and costs. Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, delivery records, and project documentation. Develop strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams. Identify extra work, change conditions, and potential delays and communicate them to the project team. Enforce all safety, quality-control, and company policies. Conduct daily huddles, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses. Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project schedules. Assist with field changes, cost control, subcontractor back charges, and project reporting. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil or bridge construction. Proven experience supervising bridge construction, rehabilitation or reconstruction projects. Strong knowledge of structural concrete, bridge decks, foundations, piers, abutments, steel/girder erection, and related bridge activities. Experience managing crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials and production. Experience with DOT/transportation infrastructure projects preferred. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and contract documents. OSHA 10 certification required. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred but not required.
