  • 145,000+ Based on Experience We have been engaged by a well-established Baltimore-area specialty metals construction company to identify Project Managers at multiple experience levels for its growing project management team.
This opportunity is specifically for construction professionals with experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects. Experience with structural steel is strongly preferred. Candidates with backgrounds in miscellaneous metals, specialty metals, reinforcing steel/rebar, steel erection, or closely related commercial construction scopes are also encouraged to apply. What You Will Do Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include: Manage commercial construction projects from award and turnover through final closeout Coordinate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and project requirements Manage procurement, material releases, fabrication schedules, deliveries, installation, and field coordination Track project budgets, committed costs, forecasts, billing, and overall financial performance Identify, document, price, and manage change orders Monitor project schedules and proactively address potential delays or coordination issues Participate in project meetings and maintain strong communication with customers and project stakeholders Coordinate shop drawings, submittals, field dimensions, and other project documentation Work closely with operations and field leadership to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and profitably Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously What We Are Looking For 3+ years of project management, assistant project management, project engineering, or closely related experience in heavy commercial construction Experience working with commercial general contractors and construction project teams Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and field operations Understanding of project costs, change orders, schedules, documentation, and job profitability Strong communication, organization, and follow-through Ability to manage competing deadlines and resolve project issues proactively
Especially Valuable Experience:
Structural steel fabrication and erection Miscellaneous or architectural metals Specialty metals Reinforcing steel/rebar Steel stairs, railings, platforms, canopies, or similar fabricated products Coordination of fabrication, delivery, and field installation Commercial projects involving complex structural or specialty construction scopes A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is helpful but not required when supported by strong relevant construction experience.
