Job Description

EHS Coordinator (Commercial Construction) A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to support and strengthen its safety and environmental compliance programs across multiple active projects. The EHS Coordinator will work closely with executive leadership, project managers, and field teams to promote a proactive safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risk across all jobsites. This EHS Coordinator role offers strong visibility and long-term growth potential within a stable organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company-wide safety & health programs Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local regulations Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and hazard assessments Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Maintain OSHA logs and assist with workers' compensation coordination Help deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training programs Track safety metrics (EMR, TRIR, DART) and support improvement initiatives Assist with insurance audits and preconstruction safety planning
Qualifications:
3-5+ years of construction safety experience (commercial preferred) Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental regulations Experience supporting safety across multiple jobsites OSHA 30 required; CSP, CHST, or similar certifications preferred Bachelor's degree in Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) Willingness to travel to project sites This EHS Coordinator opportunity is ideal for a safety professional looking to grow with a respected commercial contractor in a collaborative, team-driven environment.
