CDM Group Inc is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee retail and commercial construction projects nationwide. This role is based in the DMV area (Gaithersburg, MD), with regular nationwide travel required to active job sites across the country.

Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of retail and commercial construction projects, from pre-construction through closeout. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site crews to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Conduct site visits and inspections at active retail and commercial job sites nationwide, with extended travel for multi-day assignments. Track project budgets, change orders, and timelines, and report status to leadership. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and client requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact between CDM Group, clients, and site teams while traveling.

Travel:

This role requires extensive nationwide travel, including overnight and multi-day trips to job sites outside the local area.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Entry-level candidates welcome — no prior construction management experience required. Strong organizational skills, willingness to travel extensively, and a valid driver's license required.
