With decades of multifamily development and construction experience, they have built an impressive portfolio and continue to expand across some of the country's strongest growth markets They are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join their construction team in the Washington, DC region. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong multifamily foundation who is ready to take the next major step in their career, gaining exposure to larger, more sophisticated projects within a highly regarded owner/developer-builder platform. This is more than another multifamily construction role, offering Class A product, complex construction, a strong project pipeline, experienced leadership, and a clear path for advancement. Responsibilities Assist the Superintendent with the day-to-day management and coordination of multifamily projects Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications Assist with scheduling, sequencing, inspections, and quality control Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, and project teams Review drawings and specifications and help identify and resolve field conflicts Track project progress and communicate schedule, quality, and field issues Assist with punch list, closeout, and turnover activities Maintain a strong field presence while upholding standards for quality, safety, schedule, and execution Build the experience necessary to progress into a Superintendent-level role Qualifications 3+ years of commercial construction experience, with multifamily experience required Experience with wrap, podium, mid-rise, or other complex multifamily construction strongly preferred Strong understanding of ground-up construction, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with construction technology, scheduling, and project management software What's Offered Competitive base salary with strong bonus potential Comprehensive health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, and generous PTO Opportunity to join a highly regarded East Coast multifamily owner/developer-builder Exposure to Class A luxury multifamily projects and increasingly complex construction Experience across wrap, podium, and other sophisticated multifamily product types Clear long-term path toward Superintendent and Project-level leadership Opportunity to work alongside experienced multifamily construction professionals Valuable exposure to the owner/developer side of construction, including development, preconstruction, and project execution
