Stormwater Maintenance, LLC (SMC) is a stable and growing regional environmental restoration construction and maintenance company seeking skilled environmental heavy equipment operators to join our team. Position Overview The Environmental Construction Superintendent manages 2-3 foremen and their crews across multiple active job sites while also supporting the Operations Director with fleet, equipment, and yard logistics. This leadership position requires someone who can balance field production oversight with the operational support needed to keep crews staffed, equipped, and productive. We work on diverse environmental construction projects including, but not limited to, stream restoration, stormwater pond retrofits, and bioretention installation. The superintendent ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the quality standards our clients and regulators expect. Field Operations Responsibilities Supervise 2-3 foremen and their construction crews across multiple concurrent job sites Conduct regular site visits to monitor production, quality, and safety compliance Coordinate crew assignments, scheduling, and manpower allocation across projects Review and approve daily paperwork, timesheets, and field documentation from foremen Serve as the primary field contact for clients, engineers, and regulatory inspectors Identify and resolve field problems that exceed foreman-level decision-making Enforce company safety plans and ensure all crews maintain safe, professional job sites Support bid preparation with field knowledge, constructability input, and site assessments Fleet & Logistics Support Assist the Operations Director with equipment fleet management, including maintenance scheduling and repair coordination Help coordinate material procurement and delivery logistics to support active projects Support yard organization, inventory management, and equipment storage Help ensure all vehicles and equipment meet safety and inspection requirements Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization planning between job sites Proactively flag fleet issues and cost concerns to the Operations Director Technical Skills Required Must have a strong working knowledge of most or all of the following: Stream restoration construction methods and sequencing Stormwater facility construction, repair, and retrofit techniques Site layout using

GPS/GNSS

equipment, fine grading, and earthwork operations Pipe installation, pond construction, and water management principles Erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance Construction plan reading and specification interpretation Equipment capabilities, limitations, and safe operating practices

Reuirements Must Have:

Valid driver's license with clean record (acceptable to our insurance carrier) Minimum 5 years of construction experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Demonstrated experience managing multiple crews or job sites simultaneously Previous experience with stream restoration, stormwater pond construction, and bioretention installation Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound field decisions independently

Preferred:
