Assistant Project Manager - Land Development About the RoleBohler's Towson, MD office, serving the greater Baltimore region, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects. You'll partner closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality land development and site design solutions while growing as both an engineer and a leader through project coordination, client collaboration, team mentorship, and engagement with municipalities.

What You'll Do
  • Support project management activities, including project scoping, proposals, schedules, and resource planning.
  • Oversee preparation of comprehensive site plan packages, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Coordinate permitting and entitlement approval processes with clients, municipalities, and agencies.
  • Track financial performance while preparing contracts, change orders, and client invoices.
  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, contractors, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
  • Review concept drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives.
  • Participate in public hearings, community meetings, and professional organizations.
  • Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge to promote team growth.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in site design, land development, and jurisdictional permitting for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage software such as StormCAD, Hydroflow, or HydroCAD; skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Experience working directly with clients and project teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is beneficial.
