$175,000 - $250,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a Federal Project Director with extensive experience working for a general contractor performing federal construction. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects and project teams while helping drive the execution and continued growth of our federal portfolio. This individual will work closely with executive leadership and provide oversight of Project Managers, Superintendents and supporting project personnel across multiple locations. Projects will primarily be located throughout the South and Southeast, although the company performs work nationally.Responsibilities will include:
Provide executive oversight across multiple concurrent federal construction projects Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents and project teams Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasting and overall financial performance Ensure successful execution from preconstruction and mOur Clientlization through closeout Manage relationships with federal clients, contracting officers, design partners, subcontractors and other stakeholders Provide oversight of design-build and design-bid-build project delivery Support pursuits, proposals, estimating, staffing plans and project strategy Manage work performed under IDIQ, MATOC, MACC and other federal contract vehicles Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements, safety standards, quality-control programs and contractual requirements Assist executive leadership with resource planning, operational strategy and continued growth of the federal construction portfolio Travel regularly to active projects and client locationsQualifications:
Approximately 10+ years of federal construction experience Significant experience working for a general contractor/federal contractor Demonstrated experience managing federal construction projects and/or programs Experience overseeing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously Strong understanding of federal construction contracting and project delivery Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, USAF, GSA or similar federal clients strongly preferred Experience with IDIQ, MATOC, MACC, SATOC or similar task-order contracting environments preferred Design-build experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, cost management, subcontractor management and risk Ability and willingness to travel nationally as project needs require Important screening distinction: Candidates whose federal experience comes exclusively from working directly for USACE or another government agency will not be considered. The position requires meaningful contractor/GC-side federal construction experience.A bit about us:
