Nate O'Grady Landscape & Tree Service is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Hardscape Foreman / Crew Lead who takes pride in producing exceptional work and knows how to lead a crew to do the same. This is a key position within our company and not an entry-level leadership role. We are looking for someone who already understands professional hardscape construction, can make decisions in the field, solve problems without constant direction, and lead a crew while maintaining high standards for quality and productivity. If you are highly skilled but feel like you've hit a ceiling where you are now, this may be an opportunity to take on a larger role as our company continues to grow. Responsibilities You will be responsible for leading hardscape and landscape construction projects from layout through completion, including: Reading plans, elevations, and project specifications Site layout and grade management Excavation and base preparation Paver installation Segmental retaining wall construction Natural stone and outdoor living installations Drainage and grading Equipment operation Material and jobsite organization Crew leadership and daily task planning Quality control Production and schedule management Training and developing less-experienced team members Communicating jobsite needs and potential problems before they become delays We're Looking for a Leader, Not Just an Installer Being technically skilled is only part of this position. A strong candidate should be able to look at a project, understand the objective, organize the work, anticipate problems, and confidently move the crew forward.

You should:

Have significant hands-on hardscape construction experience Have experience leading crews or demonstrate strong natural leadership ability Understand proper construction practices - not just how you've always done it Be comfortable making field decisions Have strong grading and layout skills Be proficient with construction equipment Hold yourself and your crew accountable Communicate clearly Maintain an organized and professional jobsite Care about efficiency without sacrificing craftsmanship Be willing to teach and develop others Constantly look for ways to improve Most importantly, you should take personal pride in the finished product.
