We are headquartered in beautiful Naples, Florida, and nationally ranked as an ENR Top 400 Company. We are searching for an outstanding Preconstruction Manager to join our team. If you have 5 or more years of experience, a passion for construction, and an insane need and desire to be part of building great projects, then please read on! What you'll be doing: Become an indispensable part of the team tasked with winning new work and managing preconstruction by learning and applying DD's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in Business Development activities to help secure new work. Learn clients' goals and help them achieve them. Strategize with the DD team to develop a winning approach for each project. Assemble conceptual budgets early in the process based on limited information. Manage the preconstruction process from start to finish on multiple concurrent exercises. Lead precon meetings with clients and their design teams. Lead teams of estimators, PMs, supers, etc. during preconstruction. Become an expert on the project, invite the needed trades, identify constructability issues, and find conflicting or missing information that needs to be answered or qualified. Collaborate with DD Operations to develop project schedule, staffing, and logistic needs. Lead and assist in estimating efforts at the various budgeting milestones. Assemble complete and accurate budgets and report on changes in them at each stage. Negotiate and award subcontracts after a successful bid process. Assemble and turnover project information to operations to run the job and collaborate with the project manager to ensure a successful project. Knowledge of all types of bid processes, contracts, negotiations, and winning strategies for each. Ability to perform constructability reviews, identify risk, and know how to mitigate it in alignment with the strategized bid approach. Ability to lead and motivate other team members on group exercises. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Box, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, and OST.
