We're partnering with one of Northern Michigan's most respected mechanical contractors to find a Project Manager who will oversee custom residential HVAC and plumbing projects from pre-construction through completion. You'll have the autonomy to run your projects, the support of an experienced team, and the opportunity to make a real impact as the company continues to grow. This isn't a role where you're buried in paperwork all day. You'll be in the field, collaborating with builders, solving problems, and ensuring every project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Compensation & Benefits $100,000-$120,000 base salary (depending on experience) Performance-based bonus Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, iPad, uniforms, and top-of-the-line tools Medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance HSA or FSA options 401(k) with up to a 4% company match Paid vacation, holidays, birthday off, wellness time, and parental leave Tuition reimbursement Employee referral program Employee discounts Relocation assistance available Strong leadership support and long-term career growth What You'll Do Manage multiple custom residential HVAC and plumbing construction projects from start to finish Develop and maintain project schedules while balancing multiple active builds Serve as the primary point of contact between builders, homeowners, field teams, and internal departments Review blueprints, specifications, contracts, and project documentation Monitor budgets, labor performance, project timelines, and job profitability Conduct job site visits to ensure quality workmanship, safety, and schedule compliance Coordinate closely with estimating, operations, and field leadership to ensure smooth project execution Resolve project challenges quickly while maintaining excellent customer relationships Help improve processes and mentor team members as the company continues to grow What We're Looking For Construction project management experience required Residential construction experience strongly preferred HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction experience is highly preferred Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Experience reading blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and job costing Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with exceptional time management Proactive, solutions-focused mindset Experience with construction software; ServiceTitan experience is a plus Project Management degree is a plus but not required Why This Opportunity Stands Out This company has been serving Northern Michigan homeowners and builders since 2000 by delivering quality craftsmanship, innovative mechanical solutions, and exceptional customer service.
