Job Description The Commercial Construction Loan Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end processing of both construction-to-permanent and standalone construction loans. This position manages a complex portfolio while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and organizational standards and loan agreements. This role coordinates construction draws, lien monitoring, inspections, documentation, funding, and risk management. In addition, the specialist collaborates closely with management to improve operational efficiency and acts as a central liaison between borrowers, builders, inspectors, loan officers, and internal stakeholders. The role emphasizes effective risk mitigation, strong relationship management, member satisfaction, and requires in-depth knowledge of applicable lending policies. Essential Functions Review loan documents to ensure construction terms, budgets, and funding requirements are accurately established. Coordinate project setup within loan servicing and/or any construction loan management systems. Review and approve complex draw requests, ensuring alignment with project milestones, budget, and third-party inspection results. Validate percentage of completion calculations and remaining funds availability. Monitor lien waivers, title updates, endorsements, and other collateral protection requirements. Review project budgets for cost overruns and identify potential project risks, escalating any concerns regarding delays, budget deficiencies, contractor issues, and/or collateral risks. Ensures compliance with loan covenants and construction loan agreements. Serves as point of contact for borrowers, contractors, builders, title companies, and inspectors. Provide guidance regarding draw procedures, documentation requirements, and project expectations. Participate in audits, quality control reviews, third-party examinations, and pipeline reporting. Maintain accurate records of inspections, funding approvals, and project status updates. Assist management with construction portfolio analytics and risk reporting. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D. required Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Construction Management, Project Management, or other related field of study, preferred 4+ years of experience in commercial construction lending, construction administration, loan servicing, commercial credit, or construction-related experience, requiredTechnical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Strong understanding of commercial construction lending practices.Member Focused:

$78,000- $91,000 (S15), plus 10% annual target bonus. Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.BENEFITS
