•About the Role Our recruiting firm is partnering with a well-established commercial construction and design-build contractor to identify a Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator. The Project Manager/Estimator will play a key role in both project development and project execution, managing client relationships, estimating costs, overseeing project finances, coordinating with field operations, and ensuring successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout. Job Description The Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for supporting clients, superintendents, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle. This individual will contribute to business development efforts, prepare project estimates and proposals, and lead construction projects to successful completion while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop project estimates, budgets, cost breakdowns, and proposals for prospective projects. Assist with business development activities, client presentations, and relationship management. Serve as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, municipalities, and other project stakeholders. Manage project financials, including subcontractor bidding, awards, invoices, cost tracking, and margin projections. Respond to change order requests and maintain ongoing communication with project owners. Coordinate finish selections, project documentation, and client expectations. Obtain permits and collaborate with local municipalities and governing authorities as needed. Oversee design coordination, project schedules, and shop drawing reviews and approvals. Work closely with Superintendents to ensure project safety, quality, schedule adherence, and successful execution. Lead project closeout activities, including punch list completion and occupancy turnover. Support special projects and additional assignments based on business needs and professional interests. Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, Estimator, or in a combined Project Manager/Estimator role. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong knowledge of commercial construction project management processes and estimating practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Project, and Bluebeam. Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated, organized professional with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated commitment to integrity, teamwork, service, communication, and continuous improvement. Preferred General Contractor Design-Build experience. Experience with Autodesk software. Experience managing commercial construction projects through all phases, from preconstruction through closeout. Familiarity with permitting processes and coordination with municipalities and regulatory agencies.
