Apply Job Description Summary:
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator II with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This individual will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for a specific construction activity with the direct intent to gain hands-on skills and technical knowledge. Under the direct supervision of project leadership, responsible for supporting, learning, and performing the basic requisite skills necessary to eventually work independently within a construction management profession.Responsibilities:
Provide specific construction management support Daily progress reports Review technical documents (blueprints or estimates) Assist in project start up and closing tasks at the direction of other construction management staff Review and help maintain supporting documentation (field books, daily reports, and safety logs) in consultation with Superintendents to form conclusions and make recommendations Arrange trucking, order fulfillment, and delivery of equipment Document work process as it relates to enhancing and or changing current company process standards Look for opportunities to recommend process efficiency changes Perform basic field quality and safety inspections Document conformance to plans and specs Recommend potential solutions Promote Mortenson's safety culture Document progress of construction through tracking photos, manage administration of record keeping Develop basic spreadsheets and tools for Project Leaderships review and decision making, helping to track and coordinate aspects of the construction project (e.g .inventory, equipment, purchasing, lean etc.) Demonstrate learned skills and knowledge on a repeatable and continued advanced level Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and previous experience as a Construction Coordinator I or- Non-scientific or math skills-related college degree (e.
