Job Description

The City of North Branch, a growing community of more than 12,000 residents located 40 minutes north of the Twin Cities, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Building Official to lead our Building Inspections Department and help ensure community safety. This leadership role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with strong technical expertise and supervisory experience. Requirements include an associate's degree in Building Inspection (or related field with five years of commercial and residential plan review and building inspection experience) with at least five years of construction or inspection experience, Minnesota Certified Building Official (or eligibility), and a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include MPCA Subsurface Sewage Treatment Certification and a Minnesota Delegation Agreement. Responsibilities include overseeing inspections, ensuring code compliance, supervising staff, and managing the department budget.
