We are open to candidates with either a Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA) credential who are passionate about creating exceptional athletic, recreation, wellness, and outdoor venue experiences. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a successful team of leader-sellers and technical experts delivering projects that positively impact athletes, students, schools, universities, municipalities, and communities. From championship athletic fields and sports complexes to recreation and wellness facilities, you'll play a key role in bringing visionary projects from concept through construction. What You Will Be Doing You will partner with clients who are passionate about athletics, recreation, parks, and community development. You will work on impactful projects that enhance quality of life and create lasting community assets. Lead planning, design, and delivery of athletic, recreation, wellness, and sports facility projects Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing project scope, schedule, budget, and quality Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development and project pursuits Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and technically sound design solutions Lead site design efforts including grading, drainage, utility coordination, stormwater management, erosion control, and overall site development Prepare and oversee construction documents, plans, specifications, and technical reports Coordinate with public agencies, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project development and construction Mentor and support team members while contributing to the continued growth of the Athletics & Sports Facilities practice Participate in industry organizations, networking opportunities, and client engagement activities What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA) registration Five or more years of progressive experience in civil engineering, landscape architecture, site design, or athletic facility design Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, and site development Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, relationship-building, and client service skills Passion for athletics, recreation, parks, wellness, or outdoor environments Ability to travel as needed to support clients and project opportunities Preferred Qualifications Experience designing athletic fields, sports complexes, recreation facilities, parks, campuses, or outdoor community spaces Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and other industry-standard design software Business development, client management, or seller-doer experience. Experience working with municipalities, school districts, colleges, universities, or private sports organizations Bolton & Menk will currently not be providing visa sponsorship or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $160,000 depending on years of experience and credentials Bolton & Menk is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to specific geographic location. Bolton & Menk reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
