Pre-Construction Manager Heavy Commercial Mechanical Contractor A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to support large-scale commercial, institutional, and industrial projects including hospitals, laboratories, and complex mechanical systems. Responsibilities HVAC and plumbing pre-construction management Estimating, buyout, procurement, and budgeting Developing accurate estimates from schematic/concept design documents Managing submittals and preconstruction documentation Coordinating schedules, cost controls, and project execution planning Supporting large-scale commercial and institutional mechanical projects Managing and mentoring team members Project Experience Hospitals Laboratories Heavy commercial construction Institutional facilities Industrial/mechanical process piping systems Requirements 5+ years of experience in heavy commercial or institutional construction Background in plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical process piping systems Experience on projects exceeding $5M Strong estimating and cost control experience Experience in hard bid environments Knowledge of procurement, scheduling, QA/QC, and project controls Prior field/trade experience preferred (plumber, technician, etc.) Stable work history required Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of mechanical construction experience Leadership or management experience Self-motivated with strong communication skills Able to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation package Annual bonus program Full benefits package 401(k) Ongoing training and professional development Advancement opportunities Strong backlog and long-term job security Apply directly or email resumes to: jay.petsche@gogpac.com
