Job Description

Job Summary This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with proven tent installation experience who can both run a crew and work alongside them. Key Responsibilities Tent Installation & Leadership Lead the setup and installation of frame tents, pole tents, and structure/clearspan tents Read and execute tent layouts, anchoring plans, and event diagrams Determine proper staking, ballasting, and anchoring methods based on site and weather conditions Direct and coordinate crew members throughout each install Train crew on correct tent-building techniques and safety procedures Event Setup & Teardown Oversee loading of trucks with tents and event equipment prior to departure Manage on-site setup of tents, tables, chairs, linens, staging, and other rental items Ensure all equipment is clean, presentable, and event-ready Direct dismantling and packing of equipment after events Confirm all items are accounted for before leaving the event site Coordinate efficient, safe loading for return to the warehouse On-Site Coordination Serve as MS Tent's lead contact on-site, coordinating with crew, venue staff, and clients Communicate schedule, layout changes, and any issues to supervisors Manage crew assignments and pace to keep installs on schedule Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing Alpine Events Safety & Quality Control Enforce all safety procedures during loading, setup, and teardown Inspect completed tent installs for stability, safety, and accuracy Ensure loads are properly secured during transport Handle equipment carefully to prevent damage Report damaged or missing items immediately Performance Standards Tents and setups installed safely, accurately, and on time Crews led and coordinated effectively in the field Equipment handled with minimal damage Strong communication with supervisors, crew, and clients Reliable attendance and punctuality What We're Looking For Proven experience building and setting up tents (frame, pole, and/or structure tents) Leadership ability — comfortable directing and training a crew Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to read layouts and execute installs accurately Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends Valid driver's license
Working Conditions:
  • Often works outdoors and in all weather conditions such as heat and cold.
  • May occasionally work in a warehouse/indoor environment that does not have air conditioning.
  • Regularly wears safety attire or uses safety equipment, such as vests, masks, gloves, etc.
  • May work in close proximity to other people.
  • May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds or noise levels.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of leading staff.
  • High School Diploma/GED is preferred but NOT a requirement.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs over significant distances.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record preferred.
  • Some Night/Weekend Required.

Team Player Preferred Experience:
  • Construction or other outdoor field Crew leader/foreman experience
  • Three months tent installation experience is a plus
  • Bi-lingual Preferred

Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
