Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asphalt Foreman to lead and oversee asphalt construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As an Asphalt Foreman, you will coordinate crews, manage resources, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. Your expertise in construction management, site supervision, and technical skills will drive project success and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews on construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Coordinate daily operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to meet project deadlines. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of paving activities. Monitor quality control standards throughout the project, conducting inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed. Manage project documentation using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam, including daily reports, safety logs, and progress updates. Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, procurement of materials, and contract compliance while maintaining safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations. Supervise subcontractors and team members, providing guidance on construction site procedures and safety protocols like OSHA standards. Utilize technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary on site infrastructure projects. Ensure proper use of heavy equipment like pipeline installation machinery and paving machines such as Primavera P6 or HeavyBid for scheduling and cost estimation. Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on asphalt paving projects. Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other construction scheduling tools. Knowledge of contracts management and construction estimating processes. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety compliance. Skilled in budgeting, project scheduling, quality control measures, and managing project timelines. Hands-on experience with construction site equipment operation; familiarity with ohmmeters for electrical testing is a plus.
