Job Description

SecureStore Full-Time | Travel Required SecureStore is looking for a motivated Construction Superintendent to join our growing development team and oversee the day-to-day construction of our self-storage projects. We are looking for someone with commercial construction experience who takes ownership of their work, solves problems, communicates well, and wants an opportunity to grow with our company. This is an owner-side position working directly with our construction and development team. You will serve as our eyes and ears in the field and help ensure our projects are built correctly, efficiently, safely, and on schedule. Responsibilities Oversee daily activities on active construction sites Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries Maintain and drive the construction schedule Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work Verify work is being completed according to plans and specifications Identify field problems early and help develop practical solutions Coordinate inspections and Certificate of Occupancy requirements Oversee sitework, concrete, structural steel, building envelope, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and other trades Track long-lead materials and upcoming project needs Maintain jobsite documentation, progress photos, and reports Manage punch lists and project closeout Communicate regularly with ownership regarding progress, schedules, problems, and upcoming decisions Assist with constructability reviews and planning for upcoming projects What We're Looking For The right candidate will have: Commercial construction experience Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings Understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining good working relationships Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of a project Comfort using technology for plans, photos, reports, email, and project documentation Willingness to travel as projects require Candidates currently working as an Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer, or experienced commercial construction Foreman are encouraged to apply. Self-storage experience is a plus but is not required. Why SecureStore? We're looking for more than someone to simply watch a jobsite.
