Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent/Project Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure and commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and proficiency with industry-standard project management software. Responsibilities Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets. Manage and supervise on-site construction activities, including overseeing subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain productivity and quality standards. Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling tools; monitor progress regularly to identify potential delays or issues. Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure clarity and compliance with design intent and regulatory standards. Oversee cost management efforts by tracking project budgets, managing change orders, and controlling expenses through effective cost management practices. Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations, environmental policies, and local building codes; conduct regular site inspections for compliance. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, or equivalent tools for documentation, reporting, and communication across teams. Coordinate with project stakeholders—including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies—to facilitate smooth project execution. Manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, daily reports, and change orders. Lead project meetings to communicate progress updates, address challenges proactively, and foster team collaboration. Experience Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or infrastructure construction projects with a focus on complex site logistics and schedule coordination. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment; strong leadership skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and environmental policies applicable to heavy civil or commercial projects. Proficiency with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong understanding of construction plans, blueprints reading (including Civil 3D), contracts administration, and project scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Experience managing project budgets from initial estimates through cost control measures; familiarity with project management software is preferred.
