Construction Superintendent

General Description The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overall management of construction projects resulting in successful project completion on schedule and up to company construction plans and standards. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Keep project on schedule and updated in the company's scheduling software.
• Develop and maintain good relationship with Team Members, Suppliers, Subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management.
• Review supplier and sub-contractor contract conditions, and ensure compliance.
• Supervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, change orders.
• Participate in preconstruction planning and activities.
• Maintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project).
• Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict.
• Strive to pass all required inspections first time. Minimize costly re-inspections.
• Complete all job close-out procedures prior to turning project over to Warranty.
• Ensure job sites are always kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure all environmental and workplace safety standards are being observed and respected.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Accept responsibility for identifying and supplying sub-contractors as needed.
• Must have residential construction experience.
