About Us:
Advantage Exteriors is a locally owned and operated residential exterior contractor with 27 years of proven performance in the Lake Norman area. We specialize in siding, windows, roofing, and custom deck construction, and we've built a strong reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliable service. Our client base consists primarily of upscale residential homeowners and select commercial properties, where expectations for quality, professionalism, and communication are high. We maintain a steady, year-round project pipeline and are growing. We are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to our team, as this is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role with real autonomy and direct impact on every project we deliver.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee exterior home improvement projects, including window installation, siding installation, roofing, and deck construction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple jobs while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. You will be the hub of every project, from contract signing through final punch list. Our homeowners, crews, and subs all depend on you to keep things moving, on budget, and done right.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple residential exterior projects from contract signing through final completion simultaneously (siding, windows, roofing, and decks) Schedule and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries to keep jobs on track Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners (set expectations, communicate progress, resolve concerns, etc.) Run pre-construction meetings and job site walkthroughs Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget Order and track materials (windows, siding, roofing, decking, etc.); catch shortages and substitutions before they cause delays Perform regular site visits to ensure quality control and safety compliance Handle change orders, resolve job site issues, and maintain project documentation Coordinate final inspections, punch lists, and project close-outs
What We're Looking For:
This role requires direct, hands-on experience in residential exterior construction. We are not a fit for candidates coming from non-construction project management or property management backgrounds without exterior-specific field experience. 7-10+ years of experience in residential construction project management (preferred) Direct experience with siding, windows, doors, roofing, and deck construction
  • strongly preferred, siding is a requirement since it's 90% of what we do Working knowledge of exterior construction methods, materials, and installation best practices Ability to read and interpret plans, contracts, and specifications Excellent communication and customer service skills Highly organized with strong time management abilities Proficiency in project management software (e.
g., Buildertrend, Vu360, Procore, Eagleview, Hover, or similar) Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily between job sites in the greater Lake Norman area
Ideal Candidate:
Hands-on leader who can effectively manage crews and subcontractors across siding, window, roofing, and deck projects Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction Comfortable balancing fieldwork and administrative responsibilities Proactive problem-solver who can anticipate and prevent project delays
