Role:
As a Construction Superintendent, you will oversee the construction and reconstruction portion of restoration projects from the pre-construction phase through completion. You will work closely with customers, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and our internal production team to make sure projects stay on schedule, meet quality standards, and are completed according to the approved scope of work. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, dependable, confident communicating with customers and vendors, and comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Conduct pre-construction meetings with customers and project team members Establish project expectations, timelines, and communication standards Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, and inspections Monitor project schedules and overall progress Identify potential delays or issues and take action to keep projects moving Ensure materials are ordered and delivered according to project requirements Verify that subcontractors complete work according to their purchase orders and the approved scope of work Identify work that falls outside of the contracted scope and communicate potential change orders Prepare and execute approved change orders Maintain accurate project documentation and job files Provide regular project updates and daily narratives as required Quality Control Perform regular jobsite inspections throughout the project Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, local codes, and the approved scope of work Maintain SERVPRO quality standards throughout the reconstruction process Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions Review completed work for accuracy and quality Identify and resolve deficiencies before project completion Compile and resolve punch-list items Customer Service Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the project Set clear expectations regarding schedules, project progress, and next steps Address customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly Conduct final walk-throughs with customers Obtain required completion documentation and customer satisfaction forms Help ensure every customer has a positive experience throughout the reconstruction process Subcontractor & Vendor Management Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers Communicate project expectations and timelines Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship Ensure vendors provide the materials and services that were purchased Evaluate subcontractor and vendor performance Address scheduling, quality, or performance issues as needed Build and maintain positive working relationships with reliable subcontractors and vendors
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required Previous construction and/or restoration experience preferred Project management experience preferred Strong customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Basic math skills Strong attention to detail Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team Dependable, professional, and committed to following through Comfortable communicating with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and team members PMP certification is a plus, but not required
Physical & Work Environment:
