Job Description
Estimator / Project Manager - Construction Omaha or Grand Island, Nebraska | $90,000-$130,000+ | Monday-Friday We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join a growing Nebraska construction team supporting commercial concrete and steel/metal building projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved throughout the entire project lifecycle—from estimating and bidding through project coordination and completion. The position can be based in Omaha or Grand Island and offers a Monday-Friday schedule with no overnight travel required . Position Summary Estimate and manage commercial concrete and steel/metal building projects, generally ranging from approximately $300,000 to $1.5 million. Manage approximately 10-15 active projects at a time, overseeing projects from estimating and preconstruction through execution and completion. Prepare estimates, bids, budgets, takeoffs, and cost projections by reviewing plans, specifications, drawings, labor requirements, materials, and supplier/subcontractor pricing. Coordinate schedules, purchasing, subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and customers while tracking project costs, change orders, documentation, and overall performance. Proactively identify project challenges, develop solutions, and maintain strong communication with customers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Compensation & Benefits $90,000-$130,000+ annually, based on experience and qualifications. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of construction experience preferred, although candidates with less experience and a strong, relevant background will also be considered. Previous Estimator and/or Project Manager experience strongly preferred. Experience with commercial concrete, structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, or similar construction projects preferred. Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents and develop accurate estimates and project budgets. Highly organized with strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities.Pay:
