Ground Up Construction Recruiting is partnered with a well-established, locally owned general contractor in Kearney, NE to help them hire a Superintendent. They specialize in creating exceptional spaces across several key sectors, including senior living, religious, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, and education. They're committed to making a lasting impact on their community in Central Nebraska, all while fostering a positive work environment and valuing every member of their 20-person team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in overseeing and executing exciting projects in a variety of sectors. You'll work hand-in-hand with a dedicated team to bring high-quality construction projects to life - projects that improve lives and contribute to your community.
What You'll Do:
Lead & Inspire:
Take charge of day-to-day operations, overseeing construction projects and ensuring they meet both high-quality standards and deadlines.
Collaborate:
Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and other team members to keep projects running smoothly.
Coordinate & Organize:
Develop detailed project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure materials are delivered on time to keep projects on track.
Ensure Excellence:
Uphold the reputation for quality by regularly inspecting work to ensure it meets top-tier standards.
Ensure Safety:
Promote a safe and clean work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and standards.
Manage Budgets:
Keep a close eye on costs, ensuring projects stay within budget while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Client Development:
Foster positive relationships with clients by providing them with regular updates and addressing any concerns proactively.
Problem-Solve:
When challenges arise, you'll be the go-to person to find creative solutions and keep the project moving forward.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Superintendent/Foreman experience
Leadership:
You have strong leadership and team coordination abilities - you know how to motivate a team, delegate tasks, and keep everyone on track
Communication Skills:
You excel at communicating, both with your team and with clients, ensuring clarity and understanding at every step
Problem-Solver:
You're a natural at thinking on your feet and coming up with practical solutions when issues arise on-site What's in It for
