This firm has been in business for over 20 years and the owner is searching for a "right hand" to run all field operations, allowing him to take a step back and enjoy more family time. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who desires a path to potential ownership - if you prove yourself to be trustworthy and diligent, there will be an opportunity to have "skin in the game" and possibly one day run this company. Key Responsibilities Start each morning by reviewing priorities, assignments, and project needs with crews. Travel between active job sites to oversee work and address issues. Step in and assist with hands-on work when needed, including demolition, cleanup, and moving projects forward. Supervise, motivate and coach the construction crews doing the work in the field. Communicate with clients to provide status updates and understand additional project needs…many clients are some of the most influential leaders in Omaha so strong communication skills are very important. Take personal ownership for ensuring that jobs come in on time and standards remain high as you oversee 5-10 jobs at a given time. This is more than a typical construction management role. The owner is looking for someone who can learn the business, gradually take on more responsibility, and eventually become a key leader within the company. The long-term vision is for the right individual to eventually assume much of the owner's day-to-day responsibility as the owner transitions toward retirement over the next few years.
