Job Description

Commercial Production Manager Omaha, Nebraska | On-site Full-time | $100,000 base, plus profit sharing Royalty Roofing and Siding is hiring a Commercial Production Manager. This is more than a project manager seat - you take ownership of commercial projects from preconstruction through completion, and you lead the people, subcontractors, and processes that deliver the work. What You Would Run Commercial production from contract through completion Oversight of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and field personnel Preconstruction planning and project handoff Review of estimates for scope and constructability Submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs Material planning, ordering, and procurement Commercial crew sourcing and subcontractor management Project scheduling and coordination General contractor coordination Change orders and project documentation Quality control and field oversight Warranty and service issues Punch lists and project closeout Manufacturer requirements and warranty documentation Job costing and margin management Production systems, processes, and accountability This follows the production structure identified in the current Commercial-seat assessment: estimating, submittals, crews, execution, and warranty need clear operational ownership instead of defaulting back to sales. We want clear separation between production and sales. What We Need You've got meaningful experience in commercial roofing or a closely related commercial construction environment, and you can operate with a high degree of independence. Several of these should already be part of how you work: TPO, EPDM, and other low-slope roofing systems Commercial reroofing and new construction Reading plans, specifications, and bid documents Commercial estimating and takeoffs Submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs Change-order management General contractor project requirements Commercial subcontractor and crew management Manufacturer specifications and warranties Leak diagnosis and warranty determination Job costing and margin management Leading Project Managers, coordinators, and field personnel This isn't basic project scheduling and coordination. The current Commercial operation needs someone technically strong to make decisions. Who Succeeds Here You're operationally minded - capable of managing a large number of simultaneous projects, deadlines, and priorities at once. You're a leader who holds employees and subcontractors accountable while building a strong production team. And when a production issue comes up, you drive it to resolution. What Success Looks Like You'll know it's working when: Every sold project has clear production ownership. Projects are properly planned before crews arrive. PMs, coordinators, and field personnel understand their responsibilities. Submittals, RFIs, material orders, and change orders are completed on time. Commercial crews are properly sourced, scheduled, and managed. Quality issues get caught before they become warranty problems. Projects finish on schedule and within budget. Job-level profitability and margin are actively managed. Customers and GCs get consistent communication throughout production. Commercial Sales can focus on selling instead of running production. What You Get $100,000 base salary, plus profit sharing tied to the financial performance of the Commercial division. The better Commercial performs on profitability and margin, the more that adds to your compensation.
